Kindness Works

A child named Ram was 14 years old. He used to study in a local school near his house. He was in class 10. He was a very smart student. He was very helpful. He was kind to everyone. He used to help everyone whenever he used to see someone needy.

His parents Anjali and Rahul were very fond of him, they used to tell him to keep doing this kind of work. His parents were proud of his achievements. They would always encourage him to be happy & and make others happy as well.

Ram’s father was a regular salesman in a firm and Ram’s mother was a homemaker. Ram belonged to a lower middle class, they could hardly go out to parties or anything. Ram’s father used to earn, and everything used to get spent on food, rent of the house, and school fees of Ram.

One day Ram was going to attend school when he saw an old man, he was blind, he had a stick in his hand, he was not able to cross the road because of a lot of traffic, he was constantly moving his stick here and there to check if someone was there to help him.

Ram saw him, ran towards him, held his hand on the old man’s shoulder, and slowly made him cross the road. The old man thanked him and gave him, his blessings. The old man told him he would always be there for him, whenever he needed him.

The old man was so delighted, to see a little boy help him, he could see positivity and kindness in Ram’s eyes. He gave his contact number to Ram and told him to give it to his parents. Ram was confused as to why the old man gave him, his contact number. To clear his confusion old man said that he wanted to talk to his parents and thank them also to giving such good manners to their child.

Ram was late for school, so he bid goodbye to the old man and moved towards school.

As he reached home, he did the same, he made his parents talk to the old man. The old man greeted them and thanked them for helping his life, and by that conversation old man realised that Ram’s parents are poor, and they are unable to afford the school fees of Ram.

The old man was wealthy, but he didn’t have a legal heir, so he immediately told Ram’s parents that he would sponsor the school fees and college fees as well. He told them that he doesn’t have a grandchild, and he has accepted Ram as his grandchild.

Ram’s parents were at the top of the world. They were speechless. They always told Ram to be kind to everyone, and that was the golden day when someone was kind to them on their hard days.

Moral of the story: Be kind to everyone, God is always watching you and appreciating your kindness towards others.
