Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are happy because it’s their first time celebrating Ramzan Eid with their son Zehaan. They say this festival is extra special now that they have a baby.

Actor couple Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar are celebrating their first Eid with their son Zehaan, and they’re really happy about it. Gauahar says, “For us Muslims, there aren’t many festivals, but we have two that are very important to us. Ramzan Eid is extra special because it comes after a month of being very dedicated and disciplined, trying to be good and fix any mistakes we’ve made throughout the year. It’s a time for being kind, giving to those in need, and coming together as a community. Every year, we create more and more happy memories.” Zaid shares her feelings, saying, “Eid has always been special to me because each Eid morning reminds me of all the past Eids and the memories we’ve made.”

Having Zehaan with them makes the day extra fun for the couple. Khan says, “Every year, my mom used to wake me up for prayers and have special sweet milk. Now I’m excited to do these things with Zehaan. Even Zaid wants to take Zehaan to the mosque for Eid prayers, holding his hand.”

Does having their baby make them feel responsible? Darbar jokes, “Honestly, Gauahar doesn’t let me take care of Zehaan.” Khan interrupts, concerned, “That doesn’t sound good.” Joking aside, Darbar adds, “I’ve always been like a father to my siblings and cousins since I was young. So, it hasn’t been a big change for me.” However, Khan notices one difference in her husband after Zehaan’s birth. She says, “Zaid isn’t very expressive with others, but I see Zehaan bringing out his playful side. He’s very expressive with Zehaan.

Khan says Eid and Ramadan are about being disciplined, staying strong, and being kind. They encourage helping others and being charitable. They remind us to be humble and remember our humanity. “I want Zehaan to know that if he has one piece of bread, he can share it too. It’s not just about what I can have for myself,” she says, impressing her husband. “No one can explain it better,” Darbar agrees.

New parents say having their own family changes how they celebrate. Before, they’d think about what they wanted to wear or buy, but now it’s about what’s best for their child. Everything revolves around their child now, and they don’t even notice the changes because they’re just going with the flow. They imagine they’d feel the same even if they had ten kids.
