Glass: What To Expect
Apple iPhone 16 may inherit the colourful back glass design from its predecessor, as per Chinese rumours. Insights suggest potential colour expansions and pricing adjustments.
The upcoming iPhone 16 might feature a colour-infused back glass similar to what we’ve seen on the iPhone 15 models. A fresh rumour from China suggests that Apple is set to continue its use of a special glass process that gives the back of the phone a frosted effect, contrasting beautifully with the frame colour.
Last year, Apple introduced this unique dual-ion exchange glass process on the standard iPhone 15 models. Now, according to a source on Weibo named “Fixed focus digital,” who claims to have insider information, the iPhone 16 could come in as many as seven vibrant colours, expanding from the five options we saw last year.
While the rumour doesn’t mention the premium iPhone 16 Pro models, another source from Weibo hinted that even these high-end versions might adopt the same glass process, especially for the iPhone 16 Pro expected to feature a titanium frame like its predecessor.
However, it’s important to note that these Weibo sources haven’t established a proven track record for Apple leaks, so take this information with a pinch of salt. Nevertheless, if these rumours hold true, iPhone fans can expect a visually stunning lineup of devices this year.
iPhone 16 Price: What To Expect
As for pricing, it is expected that the regular iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will maintain the same price as their predecessors, starting at Rs 79,900 and Rs 89,900 respectively. However, there could be a slight increase in the price of the Pro models, estimated to be around Rs 10,000 more than the previous versions.
With the expected release of the iPhone 16 series around the usual mid-September timeframe, anticipation is building among tech enthusiasts and Apple fans.
